Very good app for streaming contect from a NAS device to your iPad or iPhone. I am using it to stream video from a Western Digital MyBook Live and Western Digital MyCloud. I like that this app does not require an additional software download to work like some of its competitors do (Air Playit and Air Video HD). The app seems pretty stable and I have only experienced buffering issues occassionally. This app however occassionaly gives an error message about a missing audio codec (AC3?) on certain files and directs the user to try the video playback on VLC. If this app could play every file, it would be excellent.

All our CDs are stored on a Synology NAS using iPad and Oppo 105 as a rendered - music only - only app I could find that would play an album all the way through. Rest stop after a single song. Very speedy navigation given the number of albums we have. Great job!

I have a Twonky media server and this is the best app I have found to access content on that server. I can access it from my home network or from the Internet. I can select a large playlist and start playing tracks while the whole list is loading - other apps make you wait for the list to load before you can play anything. As other reviewers have stated, pausing a track is not a good thing. Playback will pick up again - but very shortly the app will crash. If you were accessing a remote source, you have to go back through all of the menus to find your place. Very annoying. The app seems to be very sensitive to network changes. If I move around while I am using it, the signal strength will vary. This usually gets the app stuck. It will stop playing a track. It will stop loading files from a playlist. In both cases, you need to start over again. I find myself using my mobile data even at home, because I wont run into network strength issues like this. A wish-list item is support for ChromeCast. That would be quite a nice addition. I like a lot about this app - but I would like it even more if it were more stable in certain situations.

...until the latest update. Now it crashes more often than a blind, drunk race car driver. It cant go more than an hour without crashing (often only a few minutes). Its completely unusable in its current state.

God forbid you pause in this version AirPlay drops and app closes and you lose your place

Update: Pause crash is still unfixed. I am going to try Plex app until 8player can get it together. Update: I just found that if you keep your iPhone connected to a charger you can prevent the pause bug from crashing the app. But, as soon as you unplug it from the charger itll crash a minute later. Maybe it has something to do with the screen lock. Update: Had been working great up until this update. Its annoying how after pausing, and then when you press play, after about a minute, the app will close. And, as dphilippe said, you lose your place. Works great with Serviio. Streaming out of the network, over the internet works great! As long as you have plenty of upload speed at home and a decent signal on your device.

As of latest update, it keeps pausing. I think the idea about keeping it plugged in to a charger works, but please fix soon. Otherwise love this app. It reads my multiple network drives, and works well with Apple TV to display the video on my tv.

It seemed as though this may be a worthy choice. I was wrong and wasted 5 bucks. The app will not view DLNA pictures and the video playback from the same DLNA server stop every few seconds. I should note that Amazon fire TV stick can view images and play video from this same server. Dont waste your money!

This is an excellent app. It was worth every penny I spent and then some.

I was looking for a way to watch my movies on my WD My Cloud drive with my iPad and iPhone. Came across this in some of the iPad threads and it works great! Had to buy the full version but well worth the $$! Nice job!

I use this to watch movies on my nas. I just download the movie and can watch anytime I want.
